It is already on August 27th that the city of Lagos will host the fourth edition of the Algarve Boat Festival. Reservas marítimas, the Algarvian startup dedicated to maritime tourism, with the support of the Lagos municipality, presents, once again, this unique concept. This time, after three editions with almost unbeatable lineups, the bet is on the pioneers of electronic music in Portugal: DJ VIBE and Rui Vargas!
The concept of the festival was born in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, when SeaBookings decided to organize multiple dancefloors united around a single show act! At sea, of course! The innovative concept of one stage with multiple dance floors allowed for a unique and safe event, according to the local health authorities safety guidelines. The concept proved to be a success with three spectacular editions that brought together hundreds of people in dozens of boats in front of the emblematic Dona Ana Beach.
It is a “drive-in cinema” type of festival, where the artists will perform on the stage-boat. Festival-goers can join on their own or rented boat. Limited places are also available on shared party boats, the dance floors. Early Bird tickets sold out within hours but there are still plenty of options, from tickets on shared or private boats, luxury catamarans and even traditional sailing boats. So, if you’re up for the most epic boat party, book now!
The Algarve Boat Festival is supported by the Municipality of Lagos and the Marina of Lagos. The Marina offers a night’s stay after the festival for boats from other Marinas. And the Port of Lagos, as well as the maritime police, will be present to make sure the event runs smoothly in terms of safety.
The start of the event will be at 15h00, with a Festival Parade, along the coastline from Lagos to the Bay of Dona Ana Beach, where the boats will anchor. The party will go on for approximately 3 hours. Tickets can be bought online, on the website of the festival, via email or through official partners of the event. For those who can’t party on site, the festival will be streamed on the Facebook pages of Reservas marítimas and the Município de Lagos.
