SeaBookings is a unique resource to discover the best watersports and boat tours. SeaBookings was born by a dream of two Dutch sisters – Bo and Femke Irik – who aimed to help small local tour providers gain more visibility online and thereby allowing travellers to be able to book the best and most authentic sea experiences.
Born as an online marketplace for sea experiences in Portugal, in 2013, SeaBookings is now the world’s biggest guide for watersports and boat tours. Our detailed activity descriptions with reviews will allow you to find the best sea experience.

We’re Bo e Femke, the duo behind SeaBookings, and we’re excited to share a bit of our story with you. We started working in Maritime Tourism in 2006, in Lagos, and since then, we’re hooked! What started as an idea in 2013 has become a huge part of our lives, and we feel very lucky to be on this journey together. We’re different in many ways but share the same vision of connecting people with the sea in meaningful ways.
Femke is the one who’s always been a bit of a dreamer and a doer at heart. She is driven by a passion for turning ideas into reality and making sure we create experiences that matter. She loves the challenge of shaping SeaBookings into something that people can trust and enjoy. Every day, inspired to push things forward, keep everything on track, and find new ways to share our love for the sea with you.
For Bo, the best part of SeaBookings is testing out the sea experiences we offer. Whale watching, for example, is something she’d happily do a hundred times over! Bo makes every detail count and ensures that each experience leaves people feeling connected and excited about the ocean.
SeaBookings is not “Xiko’s” full time job, but it’s one of the projects he’s proudest of. Rebranding SeaBookings and designing the new website was a pleasant challenge and the result is visible! Xiko really likes SeaBookings as he’s always has had a strong connection to the sea, being a surfer from Lisbon. Beside surf, Xiko’s hobby are startups, having already founded a few. Xiko likes joining Bo to test all the SeaBookings experiences and Brazil is one of the destinations he likes most.
Nathalie is a real go-getter. In February 2018 she joined our team and she is already indispensable. Half Austrian, half Brazilian, born in Germany and speaking 4 different languages (Portuguese, German, English and Spanish) is a unique combo! She likes to work from her couch in Burgau, the South of Portugal, with her two dogs and cats sitting next to her. If you book your private event at sea with us, you’re in good hands with Nathalie!
