Are you ready for dolphin & whale watching in Madeira on a catamaran?
This catamaran boat trip with whale watching in Madeira is a memorable encounter with nature for the whole family. This tour with dolphin & whale watching on Madeira is more than observing these beautiful mammals. The boat tour combines the two most popular excursions and things to do and to see in Madeira: the cetaceans watching and coastal sightseeing trips. The tour takes about 3 hours and departs from the Marina of Funchal.
For the last nine years, this tour operator has been successfully taking clients out to sea to watch dolphins, whales and turtles in their natural habitat on a comfortable catamaran. The Madeira Archipelago has always been visited by different species of whales and dolphins. The people of Madeira presently support a fast-growing whale-watching industry that attracts a new generation of eco-friendly whalers.
The Madeiran waters are very rich in cetaceans, with at least 22 species recorded out of the approximately 75 species worldwide. Within 5 kilometers of the shore, the ocean floor reaches a depth of more than 3,000 meters. This means that on most days these ocean-going creatures are swimming by right on your doorstep! The periodic migration of various species of cetaceans frequent the waters of Madeira in search of food, as an area of reproduction and, for at least one species, as its habitat.
We invite you to come on board on our spacious and stable catamaran a cruise along the Southwest Coast of the Madeira Island, departing from the Marina of Funchal.
