Dolphin Watching in Arrábida National Park

Are you ready for a Dolphin Watching in Arrábida National Park?

Go for dolphin watching tour in their natural habitat in the waters of the Marine Park Professor Luiz Saldanha or in the estuary of Sado River. The target species for the observation will be Short-Beaked Common dolphins  (Delphinus delphis) and  Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). It is also possible to observe other marine species, such as orcas or pilot whales, sharks and sunfish. However it is not common.

It is a tour guided by a marine biologist  with experience in recognizing the behavioral habits of several marine species. Although we know many of their habits, it is important for the observer to realize that these animals are found in the wild and that their location is never exact, so we have to  go on an adventure every day to locate them.

Although there may be adverse natural conditions that make it difficult to see them, we are committed to doing our best to ensure that they are observed, always safely. The crew has an official license to be able to carry out  Whale Watching   activity, given by the ICNF (Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests), which is the supervisory and protective entity of the  Marine Park Professor Luiz Saldanha.
