SUP

Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is one of those activities that’s perfect for a mix of relaxation and adventure, and it’s become one of our favorite ways to spend time on the water. Imagine standing on your board, slowly paddling through crystal-clear waters while enjoying the warm sun and feeling the breeze on your face.

It’s so peaceful, and you really get a chance to connect with nature at your own pace. SUP is also incredibly versatile—you can use it to explore quiet bays, paddle along stunning coastlines, or even practice a bit of yoga if you’re feeling adventurous and want to challenge your balance. It’s also a great workout that doesn’t feel like a workout!

Your core and legs get a solid burn as you balance, but the best part is that you’re surrounded by beautiful views, so you almost forget you’re exercising. Families love SUP because it’s easy for all ages to pick up, and the boards are stable enough that even kids can learn without much fuss, or they can sit in front of you, on your board.

If you’re paddling in calm waters, like a lagoon or a sheltered bay, you’ll have a really enjoyable time just floating and taking it all in. For us, summer—between June and August—is the perfect time for SUP. The waters are usually calm, the weather is warm, and there’s no better way to beat the heat than by gliding across the water.

Plus, during those months, you’re likely to see more marine life, like fish swimming underneath you, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot a sea turtle popping its head up! It’s also a great time to bring a waterproof camera because the views, especially during sunset, are out of this world. Whether you’re out with family, friends, or even just enjoying some time on your own, SUP gives you the perfect blend of adventure, fitness, and calmth on the water.
